Kids Paint Set Packaging
Opportunity
Banma approached us to give their kids’ painting set packaging a refresh with sustainability in mind. Their original design used a mix of rigid board and a plastic insert to hold the paints, but they wanted a solution to cut down on their plastic waste without losing any of the original packaging’s functionality. Our goal was to make their new package eco-friendly, luxurious, and functional.
The Process
The inside of the box had a built-in tray that was custom sized to hold each product perfectly.
We were able to cut down on the plastic insert that the original box previously needed, and effectively reduced the manpower needed to assemble multiple pieces together as our box was one whole package.
Exhibit B: Final Packaging Inner Contents
The Outcome
As the original packaging was a box designed to store the paints and not just act as disposable waste, we redesigned the new packaging to be just as purposeful.
Our final design included an integrated handle while the top enclosure was secured with magnets so the box wouldn’t open on its own and scatter the products everywhere.
